My Two Minute Mornings to win my day..every day!

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker United Realtors® ~ 512.346.1799

Thursday morning my friend Kathy Streib wrote a post about something she was thankful for in her area, The Wild Life! She talked about Carol Williams     who wrote a post in December last year telling us about her goal for a Daily Gratitude Challenge.

I have a goal too thanks to a very dear friend Roxanne Watson. She gave me a book entitled “Two Minute Mornings”. It’s a journal to win your day every day. It’s written by Neil Pasricha, Bestselling author of the Happiness Equation and the Journal of Awesome. He serves as Director of the Institute for Global Happiness after a decade running leadership development inside Walmart.

It really only takes 2 minutes in the morning and is now the first thing I do each morning. It’s a great way to:

  • Focus on the positive
  • Let go of unnecessary stress
  • Set clear goals
  • And Win your day!

Roxanne is VP of business development for Austin Title and she bought a copy of this journal for everyone on her team and the whole company! It’s not a wonder her team is laser focused on commitment to service and makes a difference for so many of their clients!

Every morning there are three parts to jot down in my journal:

I will let go of…….

I am grateful for……

I will focus on…..

Taking two minutes to write positive experiences has definitely made a difference in my day! These two minutes I spend help make sure I’m going in the right direction and in the right frame of mind and is definitely the best two minutes of my day! Thank you Roxanne Ford!

“Because life’s too short my friends, Lets squeeze in as many laughs as we can get.”      By Neil Pasricha

Remebering what we are grateful for each and every day is a wonderful way to stay focused on the positive things in our life.  Gratitude is a magical thing ... it opens our eyes and makes us more aware of our many blessings.

Morning rituals are good for you. I hidrate, then meditate before I hit the coffee and email. My wife and I share positive feelings when we wake up together also. Sets the day for us.

words for the wise! Napolean Hill would be inspired. Abraham said it this way, "You are about as happy as you make your mind up to be." Writing out your focus, what you are grateful for and releasing stress and negativity really does wonders for a person. Thanks Dorie for posting this fabulous and easy idea!!!
