Stowe, Vermont Home Sales - 2000 through 2017:

Chart 1 - shows the number of single family homes SOLD in Stowe for the years 2000 through 2017.  It shows a low of 46 homes in 2009 (recession) to a high of 91 in 2016.  There was a dip in 2017 of 7%.

Chart 2 - shows the median and average sale prices for the years 2000 through 2017.  2005 and 2006 show higher sale prices with dips in sale prices in 2008 and 2009.  Prices slowly increased with some dips along the way to 2017.  2017 has both average and median sale prices up over 2016.

Chart 3 - shows the average inventory available for sale starting with 2005.  2010 shows the highest average inventory while 2017 shows the lowest for this time period.

Stowe, Vermont Condo Sales - 2007 through 2017: (does not include timeshare or fractional ownership)Chart 1 - shows the number of condo sales for the past 10 years.  You can see the lowest number is 2009.  Sales overall picked up each year (except 2016) and shot up 38% in 2017.  We continue to see demand for condo purchases strong this year.  The acquisition of the Stowe Mountain Operations by Vail and the introduction of the Epic Pass appear to be some of the main factors behind the increased demand.

Chart 2 - shows the average and median sale prices.  The sold prices have been relatively stable over the past 3 years.

Chart 3 - shows the average inventory of condos available for sale.  The highest level was in 2010 and the lowest was in 2017 - a 30% decrease.

Stowe, Vermont Land Sales - 2007 through 2017:Chart 1 - shows that the number of land lots sold varies widely from year to year.  The highest number of lots sold was in 2017 with a 32% increase in number of lots sold.

Chart 2 - once again shows average and median sale prices varying widely throughout the years.  2017 did show significant decreases in both average and median sold prices.

Chart 3 - The average inventory of lots available for sale has been relatively been a bit more stable than number of sales and sold prices.  The inventory did not see a change from 2016 to 2017.
