Specialized Knowledge Is Easily Bought If You Want it.
"The minute you choose to do what you really want to do, it's a different kind of life." - Buckminster Fuller
Today's daily dose of Organek Food for Thought combines Think and Grow Rich's Chapter 5 on Specialized Knowledge mashed up with Buckminster Fuller's quote on finding out what you want to do and also choosing to do it.
Quote #39 from Dr. Joe Tichio's book.
Greatest Inspirational Quotes: 365 days to more Happiness, Success, and Motivation
I chose to enroll 53,000,000 members over a 5-year period. Since I made that commitment my life has been changing in the most positive and amazing fashion. In the video I cover why some agents and companies are successful and why most aren't.
Think And Grow Rich's "Specialized Knowledge" is the fourth of the 13 steps towards riches. "Personal Experiences or Observations"
Don't get confused about the "Personal" part about the subheading for the chapter. Just because they are personal experiences doesn't mean you personally had to experience them. You can hire people that have specialized knowledge. A racing team has a driver, mechanics, a pit crew heck, and even a truck driver. Each has a specialized job to do. A winning team will usually have the best in more than one area. What good is a star quarterback without an offensive line to protect him? Either you acquire the specialized knowledge or acquire the people that have the specialized knowledge you need.
The Quote of the Day: "The minute you choose to do what you really want to do, it's a different kind of life." - Buckminster Fuller
Buckminster Fuller was an interesting man. He sure did lead a different kind of life. I'm pretty sure that he didn't want everyone duplicating what he did with his life. He's just pointing out that it is important to not only identify WHAT you want to do but also CHOOSE to set out to get it done. Doing so will deliver to you a "different" kind of life. He wanted to secure the future for humanity. Some of his works are very well known. Some are hidden in obscurity. The geodesic dome (domes like the one at The Epcot Center alongside Disney World) is something he studied at length. Domed housing and aerodynamic vehicles are two other projects he worked on for the purpose of improving the net quality of life on this planet. He even dubbed earth as "Spaceship Earth" to symbolize that we are all on this ball that is in space with no other resources other than what we currently have. Now that's someone that knew what he really wanted to do.
The mash-up: Find out what you want to do, choose to do it and then get the specialized knowledge in place so you can make it all happen and have yourself a "different" kind of life.
