25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular

Current Schedule:  Saturdays in May at 9:30 PM

This Atlanta tradition, the longest running lasershow in the world, celebrates its silver anniversary with a digitally remastered show.  A new musical score features some all-time favorite tunes and several medleys. The Lasershow is free with your vehicle entry fee to the Park.

Don't miss the debut of Stone Mountain Park 's new summer long event -- Summer at the Rock!  Beat the dog days of summer from May to August with new shows, attractions and several special events only at Stone Mountain Park . 

Memorial Day Weekend Salute to the Troops

Dates:  May 24 - 26

Make the time to thank the military as Stone Mountain Park honors American soldiers through its Memorial Weekend Salute to the Troops. Performing a free concert Sunday night is country music star Lee Greenwood, best known for his hit, "God Bless the U.S.A. " Inspiring entertainment is provided by military bands followed by the 25^th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular^TM and fireworks.

National Trails Day

Date:  June 7

The Georgia Appalachian Trail Club and American Hiking Society presents National Trails Day at Stone Mountain Park on Saturday, June 7 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  The event will be held at the Confederate Hall Plaza.  Guide-led hikes will be offered all day on trails around the park.  There will also be educational exhibits, children's hikes and gear demonstrations.  The event is free with your $8 (cash only) vehicle fee to the Park.

1st Annual SoulFest

Date: June 7

Join Kiss 104.1 FM for the first ever SoulFest at Stone Mountain Park's Memorial Lawn. More information including headling acts TBD.

Summer at the Rock Entertainment

Dates:  June 7 - August 3

The summer sizzles as Stone Mountain Park presents the all-new Summer at the Rock! Challenge yourself at a new attraction. The 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular is shown nightly plus check out and participate in new shows and attractions including The Backyard Circus, two live shows: Col. Adair's Southern Fried Shakespeare Company and Rock Solid Country musical revue, a new train show and more! 

Stone Mountain Gospel Celebration

Date: June 14, 2008

Families are invited to join Antioch Baptist North and Stone Mountain Park for sounds of praise and worship on the famous Laser lawn.  A church choir competition, dramatic performances, spoken word and national Gospel Acts are all part of the one day celebration.

Juneteenth Celebration

Dates: June 14 - 15

Join us on as we celebrate African contributions to the culture and history of our state in conjunction with the Stone Mountain Gospel Celebration. Cultural ambassadors will present stories, music, dance, interactive games and cooking demonstrations.

Atlanta Fest presented by Chick-fil-A

Dates: June 19 - 21

Families and church youth groups will enjoy three days of contemporary Christian Music, inspirational speakers, and much more at the Southeast's largest Christian music fest. Highlights include 2008 Dove Award Winners Toby Mac (Artist of the Year) and Casting Crowns (Group of the Year). Other artists will include Jeremy Camp, Shane and Shane, Big Daddy Weave, BarlowGirl, and over 40 more will headline the Atlanta Fest's five stages in the Special Events Meadow. Mountain Members can save $10 per ticket by calling 1-800-783-8839 to purchase tickets.

Fantastic Fourth Celebration

Dates:  July 3-5

Stone Mountain Park explodes with excitement in this annual Independence Day salute. Each evening begins with the 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular featuring a special intro, and is followed by an amazing fireworks display right in front of the mountain! And on the 4th of July, bursts of light will illuminate the sky as fireworks choreographed to music are shot from BOTH the base AND the top of Stone Mountain. The Lasershow and fireworks are free. Parking permit required for vehicle entry to the park - $10.00 for a one-day permit or $35 for an annual permit.

Last Blast of Summer

Dates:  August 30 - September 1 (Labor Day Weekend)

Celebrate the end of summer with a terrific event and concert plus nightly 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular. More details will be released soon.

40th Annual Yellow Daisy Festival

Dates:  September 4 - 7 (Thursday - Sunday)

FREE WITH PARK ENTRY! Celebrating it's 40th Anniversary the Yellow Daisy Festival has been voted the Nation's #1 Arts & Crafts Show by Sunshine Artist Magazine!  More than 500 artists and crafters from 38 States and two countries display their works for your appreciation and purchase. Daily live entertainment, Children's Corner activities, clogging and crafter demonstrations throughout the event as well as fabulous festival foods.

Chili Cook Off

Date:  September 27

Come to the premiere chili event east of Texas only at Stone Mountain Park . The Chili Cook-Off draws more than 300 teams competing for "Best Of", "People's Choice" and "Showmanship" awards in competition categories such as Chili, Brunswick Stew and Cornbread. More than $10,000 in prize money is awarded. Sample the great food and participate in a variety of contests. The event's proceeds support Camp Twin Lakes , a non-profit that offers year-round recreational, therapeutic and educational programs for children facing serious illnesses and other physical, emotional and life challenges.

Home School Day

Date:  October 3

6th Annual Pumpkin Festival

Dates:  October 3 - 26 (Fridays - Sundays)

This fall festival has become a family favorite.  Come experience the NEW Mad Science show, find your way through Farmer Brown's A-MAZE-ing Adventure, compete in the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contests, enjoy fall arts & crafts, a Talking Pumpkin and much more.

23rd Annual Tour of Southern Ghosts

Dates:  October 15-19, 22-26, 29-31

Join the Atlanta family tradition and meet professional storytellers spinning their tales of famous (and not-so-famous) Southern Ghosts along the lantern-lit paths of the Antebellum Plantation grounds at Stone Mountain Park. "A Tour of Southern Ghosts" is held during the Halloween season so the stories are a little scary, many times humorous, but never too frightening and always appropriate for young children.

36th Annual Highland Games

Dates:  October 18-19

The Stone Mountain Highland Games will be held in the meadow at beautiful Stone Mountain for two full days of Scottish fun. Thrill to the Highland Athletic events, Highland Dancing, Piping and Drumming, Scottish Harping. Participate in the Scottish Country Dancing demonstrations, Kirking of the Tartans, Clan Challenge Athletic events and the Parade of Tartans. See Clan and Tartan information tents as well as the many colorful Scottish shops. All events will be held rain or shine! 9th Annual Indian Festival & Pow-Wow

Dates:  November 6 - 9
(School Field Trip Days:  Nov. 6 & 7)

Learn about and experience several aspects of Native American culture through dance & drum competitions, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking samples and storytelling activities. The festival, which is the Southeast's premier event of its kind, provides an educational and interactive experience for guests of all ages and backgrounds.

Celebrate The Magic of the Season complete with the Polar Express^TM 4D Attraction, snow and fireworks by our Snow Angel, hear the Christmas story aboard the Scenic Railroad, enjoy two live holiday shows and marvel at over two million lights in Crossroads, plus much more.
