Consider the exterior colors of the home....brick, stone, siding, stucco, roof, shutters. Make sure all is working together to create a color palette that is pleasing to the eye. Here is an example of how updating the mulch color can prove to be a good exterior staging choice.
Before/This new listing had red brick and red mulch, which made the eye focus on the dead grass.
After/Replaced the red mulch with a black mulch, which contrasts the house color and is more welcoming.
Red mulch with the red brick was too monochromatic, the dark mulch however, was a nice contrast and let the house be the star of this show. When listing a new property, remember MULCH MATTERS!
