If you are ready to hear some Jazz, tenor saxophonist Melissa Aldana will be performing at Carnegie Hall on Friday, February 16, at 7:30 p.m.
Aldana became the first female instrumentalist and the first South American to win the Thelonious Monk Competition in 2013. She is also a recipient of the Martin E. Segal Award from Jazz at Lincoln Center and a double recipient of the Altazor Award, Chile’s highly prestigious national arts prize.
The Mainstage Lounge host for this performance is Katie Eads of Edward Jones Investments. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the special $7 student rate for this performance. Adult tickets to the performance are $30, and discounts are available for Carnegie Hall members, senior citizens, and military.
