Your Success Depends on What Makes You Tick

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

One of my regular phrases is: "here is what we're gonna do." Because I always have a plan, often, several. Further, I have no problem telling other people what to do. And you know what? People find that strength and conviction reassuring. Those qualities in Sacramento real estate have helped to make me a success. Because I capitalize on them.

Have you ever stopped to think about what makes you tick? What makes you different, unique from others in your line of business? Because that quality, whatever it is, is what you can rely on when you're building a career. If you are the same as everybody else, there is no reason for anybody to hire you. You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Success as a Real Estate Agent Depends on Your Uniqueness.

Good morning, Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents I think there are a few qualities that most agents may have some but not all of them.... is there anything "unique" anymore??  there are "heavy hitting qualities" and to soar with the eagles, one needs all of them... those that come to mind immediately are: being a chameleon; giving direction with authority that demands and receives a client to follow; hunger for " the kill" not the money ( the money will always be there if you love the kill!); having focus and discipline; keeping your head in the game no matter where you may be; being a leader and always having that aura....  just a few thoughts here.

Barbara Todaro Yes, there is unique. Each of is unique. You are absolutely unique. That's not to say we can't blend in with the drapes if we need to, LOL, I like your references, and especially "the kill" -- that's a good way to put it. But at the bottom of this foundation is uniqueness.

Hi Elizabeth... one thing I can definitely say is that the best part of getting more "mature" (not older) is that I long ago stopped worrying about what people think of me. I am what I am... and people know I'm straightforward and don't prevaricate or play two ends against a middle. You're so right... no one cares about you... they are all busy being involved with themselves.

I see you are having dinner at another bar, my favorite table in a restaurant. And what in the world is that dish you are attacking, Elizabeth?

Nina Hollander I am not a big fan of the word "mature" as it implies growing up, LOL. Maybe "wiser."

Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® It is a plate of potato chips. The only meal that restaurant could offer within 30 minutes, bar or no bar. That's why I don't go to Bernardos. I didn't like the chips, either. But that did not stop Barbara Dow and me from having a grand old time that night.

Ha-ha-ha, Elizabeth! I use mature in lieu of saying growing older. But I might just adopt your growing wiser. I like it!

Elizabeth, you are unique, and fierce in the way you do business.   How did the chips fare with the red wine?

Hi Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents, I've adopted this mindset long time ago, I wasn't even that wise back then. Now that's I'm "wiser"(ohh,,I really like that, thanks for sharing), I really don't care what others think, it's my life and I am living it my way.

That is a great point, Elizabeth. I am not an agent for everyone but when people "get" me they love me.

You are 100% authentic. I admire your drive and confidence to be who you are with people. We have to be who we are, and I think we can't be the one agent for all people. Our unique style will resonate with those who "get us." And, we "get them."

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD I see you went down that rabbit hole to get here, LOL.

But yes, authenticity is key. People are often so afraid to let others see them as they actually are, and it's so silly not to. It will weed out the ones you don't want around you.
