Redfin Scam Alert!!

Just saw this latest scam mentioned in one of the Facebook groups and thought I should make sure that all of my peeps were aware.

Many of the people who commented on the Facebook post had already been scammed and I am hoping that none of you have been.

Once again, always best to create your own leads.

Hi Bob,  I'm suspicious of any email that starts with "Congratulations".

Scams are hitting all of us on a daily basis.  I have not yet seen the Redfin scam, but, as always, if anything smells bad, it is probably full of rot and not worth your attention.

Thanks, this is a very well done scam unfortunately.  The lead is actually not from the Redfin site at all and will probably be duplicated for other online sites as well.

If you look at the actual domain, you will see it is actually "com-pre-qualified-lead.info" and Redfin is a subdomain.

They link to the Redfin site is correct to try to add credibility.

I am not sure what happens if someone actually used the link to PayPal, if it is a one time loss or if they keep tapping you for more.

BTW, on the "lead" I got, it was also from "Greg Humprey" with the same redacted phone and email address trying to buy a nice home here in Idaho.
