What is the purpose of a Just Sold postcard? Sold properties are old business. We can’t live in the past, but we can use it to create future business.
The key to making your phone ring with any postcard is to provide a “Call to Action.” Without a “Call to Action” there is not likely to be any action taken by the recipient of that postcard. The result of that poor marketing will be an agent who cries out “postcard mailings do not work.”
They work if you create them to work effectively. The agent is in full control. The agent has a target; has a message; and provides a service. Make the recipient take advantage of that service with a “Call to Action.”
The “Call to Action” that I like to use on all “Sold” postcards is “Learn How This Sale Changes Your Home Value.” Such a simple statement but one that creates a “adrenalin rush” with any homeowner. Everyone wants to know how much equity they have with each new closed transaction in their area and with a similar home.
The “Sold” postcard is used to replace the void on your listing shelf after each closing. Remember Michael Jacobs’ favorite quote of “List, Sell, Rinse and Repeat.” The “Sold” postcard must initiate the new inventory call to enable the agent to “Repeat.”
Just a thought for moment…..
