Percy Quin State Park south of McComb is one of five Mississippi state parks listed among ReserveAmerica's Top 100 Family Campgrounds.  Around four thousand state parks, national parks, and campgrounds in all fifty states were reviewed before the top 100 were named.  The other winning Mississippi state parks are John W. Kyle State Park near Sardis, Lake Lincoln State Park near Wesson, Paul B. Johnson State Park near Hattiesburg, and Trace State Park near Belden.

Percy Quin, along with Lake Lincoln and Trace State Park also earned the distinction of being among the top fifty fishing spots! Percy Quin was also named in the top fifty for the quality of its hiking trails!
