On our through walk to the Salt Marsh Reserves of Carpinteria, we noticed two young herons. They were enjoying the day in one of the tributaries to the ocean beyond. Each had their distinct territory across from the other.
It is wonderful to see that the wildlife is beginning to thrive, and that Spring is around the corner! Nature always make us smile!

Baby blues or blue teens, aren't they lovely! Last year I got luck enough to see and photograph a green heron but I've never seen blue. What a magnificent bird!!!! This time of year is the best time to see birds return. Thanks for sharing these 2 beautiful photographs!
