Having trouble getting started blogging? The key is to start.

If you've hesitated to blog because you thought that you had nothing to share, you might be surprised. That was me in March 2011. My wife tried for years to get me to blog, but I declined over and over. Finally, one day I decided to stop stalking the front page of Active Rain and start trying it. Before I knew it, I had 900 blogs.

This morning when I checked in to Active Rain, I noticed that my blog count was 2094. That's more than I could ever have imagined in 2011. Personally, I didn't feel like I had anything to say in 2011.

Granted, I've missed days here and there, but I've had days where I blogged three or four times with market reports, etc. So, if you're struggling to get started, just jump in and see what happens. You might be surprised. I was.

That's a really good point, Mike. It's like developing a muscle. Sometimes it's hard to start but once you do it gets easier and more natural.
