Happy Hour at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Gaithersburg, MD

 

Chef Dolores wanted to take advantage of a gift card we received and we went to Ruth's Chris Steak House in Gaithersburg, Maryland for happy hour. They have a very elegant bar area and a convenient free parking garage. We selected the Spicy Shrimp and the Zucchini Fries for appetizers and they were very good. The happy hour white wine was Two Oceans Chardonnay from South Africa which was also good. The happy hour food items and wines are priced at $9 each. Click on the above link to see the menu.

We have enjoyed Ruth Chris restaurants.  They used to have a store in town, but they had trouble competing with Chuck's Steak House, which served filet mignon tips (free) with happy hour.  And they had a great selection of Happy Hour wines also.  A

Ruth's Chris is great.  I went to one in Indiana many many years ago on a business trip.  I learned about a special desert secret there.  You order the Sweet Potato Casserole and get a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it.  It is absolute heaven!  I ordered it at the Ruth's out here and the lady asked me if I worked there.  Apparently it is an employee secret recipe.  Now you know and can impress them next time you go there!

Roy, I checked out the menu and the Spicy Shrimp looked so delicious.  In Orlando, Fl., we favor Bonefish Grill and their Bang Bang Shrimp.  So good, also!!
