"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a gift and not giving it."
As many of you know I'm doing a Gratitude Challenge. On December 28, 2017, I posted Leaping Into And Through 2018 With Gratitude. I invited you to join me in writing down (at least) 3 things every day that you are grateful for.
For those of you who indicated you would join me, this is just a reminder to keep going. The goal is to reach 1095 by December 31st. That equals an average of 3 per day.
My status so far:
January: 140
February: 168
Did you accept the challenge? If so, are you keeping up with your commitment? If not, it's never too late to jump in.
Hi Dorie Dillard ,
I've heard of that and may have to get a copy. Thanks for the reminder.
Good morning Carol. I like your enthusiasm and am grateful every day but without the formality of numbers.

Hi Carol- as the others while I do think about all of the wonderful things and people in my life several times a day, sadly I have not made the time to write them down. But I'm going to do my best to try to start writing them down.

Hi Sheila Anderson ,
Whatever works for you is great! I just find after writing down the obvious, I am more acutely aware of all the little things there are to be grateful for. It's a personal journey for all of us, isn't it?

Hi Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD
So much to be grateful for, isn't there?
Hi Kathy Streib ,
You don't HAVE to write them down, of course. I just find after writing down the obvious, I am more acutely aware of all the little things there are to be grateful for. It's a personal journey for all of us, isn't it?

Carol I think about being grateful for so many things every day but I haven't written anything down. Just being in a happy/grateful state is GREAT!

I have long started each morning thinking of several specific things for which I'm grateful. In 2018 I've started writing them down.
I'm not sure, but it could be that, for me, writing them down takes away from the conscious thought and feeling - I certainly don't want this to be a 'task' We'll see how I'm feeling about this by the end of March.

Hi Lottie Kendall ,
We sure don't want it to become a "task". I find after writing down the obvious, I am more acutely aware of all the little things there are to be grateful for. It's a personal journey for each of us, isn't it?

I am grateful for so many things, that it would be difficult to choose just three.
There's a lot more to be grateful for than most people realize. What a difference it makes in another person's life when they know they are appreciated. A compliment is free and should be given generously for all the right reasons.
The more grateful we are the more we are rewarded. Thanks for the inspiration!
