Once upon a time I was a Newbie to ActiveRain and didn't quite know what to do. After reading other blog posts, I noticed there were some great bloggers who knew what to do and they gave me hope, encouragement, and inspiration. So, who are these People in Your AR Neighborhood? Today I hope you'll take the time to get to know 3 very special people to add to the collection of others I've mentioned recently. Once you identify who brings you the most value, you may be motivated to write some amazing blog posts yourself. The first lady I'd like you to know today is someone who has provided a lot of support to AR Bloggers over her many years in the business.
Debbie Reynolds is not new to the business but she always has some fresh new ideas to share. I call her the giver. She is always willing to share ways in which she has found that has worked for her successfully and if you need her, she'll be there. What sets her apart is Thinking Like An Olympian! In the beginning of my blogging experience on AR, Debbie hosted a "Ringing In the Rain," challenge. I took the challenge and it helped me to get to know others here on ActiveRain much better. I found almost everyone is a giver. This month, Kathy Streib has offered the same challenge. It's pretty simple, make arrangements to contact someone you never talked to before and then write a post about that experience based upon the instructions in her blog post.
If you want to know more or you're up for the challenge, click on this link and learn more. Kathy is another great supporter here on ActiveRain, just like Debbie Reynolds. By profession, she's a stager and knows a lot about how to make a listing sell. But like Debbie, both are people persons who really, really cares about this platform on ActiveRain and the members on it too. Many have been friends for years. You'll discover that even if you live somewhere where the weather isn't all that great, you can most likely hang out at Delray Beach with Kathy. But if you can't take the heat on the beach, you can always see what's up on the West Coast in Myrl Jeffcoat's backyard and/or home town.
Myrl Jeffcoat wasn't always a California Girl, but by reading her posts I guarantee, you'll fall in love with her stories and her family too! Her bubbly personality, passion for wildlife, enjoyment with photography, and knowledge about the history of Sacramento will intrigue you. Plus, she has many, many years in the real estate business. Also, Myrl has a lovely family. Everyone is so smart and unique! I'm in hopes one of her grandchildren will write a book about her because she is a one of a kind and the kind of person you'd want to hang out with too! Someday, she might surprise you and blog about her love for pirates. Another day, she'll be out rescuing critters. And then there are days about the gold rush and all that stuff that just makes you feel like you're reading a great book, only you don't have to check it out or make a purchase. Myrl's stories are always fascinating because she lives a great life. Oh, and did I mention she swims like fish!
ActiveRain is a wonderful place to enjoy some relaxation, educational opportunities, inspiration, or perhaps a laugh or two. I can honestly say, it's because of these 3 women and others I have written about previously that I feel lucky to be in the business I'm in and I owe them ALL a debt of gratitude.
