I was torn as to whether or not to continue with a website since I am no longer actively listing and selling real estate. I tried not to let the the expense or my ego get in the way. So I finally divorced my old website and created a new one. I am still actively engaged in the business, training, coaching and doing a lot of referrals. My book of business is something I secured and nutured over years and years of serious and good work. It was that consideration that made me decide to stay visible and available for what I do now.
Real estate practice is different than it was thirty years ago, but in many ways very much fundamentally the same. That is to say people are the consumers and people are looking for direction and help in finding and selling their homes. Clearly the Internet is driving traffic and paperwork everywhere is much more complicated than it once was. All of that said, significant interaction comes by and between people and that has and, in my view, will always be the same.
So I have a new website that I worked hard on, and I am glad I spent the time and the money to do so.
