YouTube Thursdays - Show off the Flavors of your Neighborhood
This is a great way to drive traffic to your website as well as getting your phone to ring:
Community Videos are powerful tools for real estate. Simply put, they are evergreen workhorses - pulling their marketing weight twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, year after year. Buyers often look into communities and neighborhoods long before they decide to look for houses. Consider the advantage you'll have with a library of videos reflecting the character and flavors of your local communities and neighborhoods. Bringing a location to life is much easier with the use of motion and sound.
We encourage you to compile a list of all the local sights and sounds you want to share with potential viewers (prospects!). To help you get started, we'll share a few of our ideas with you.

We've seen a lot of videos with a camera on the dashboard as the agent drives through a neighborhood talking. It's really not the best way to engage your viewers or potential clients. We think you need to get out of the car and soak up the sights and sounds. Dare to ask a few passerbys why they love the neighborhood or park, or local business - they'll do the selling for you. And you never know, you may strike up a connection with someone who needs a real estate pro.
Don't forget the basics of good video production too - and be sure to create a story board that is either entertaining or informative or helpful, or all three. Be sure to take advantage of the natural sound too, be it a waterfall, children playing, or the buzz of a busy restaurant. Sound is another element that adds to the overall experience of watching a video.
