I have firmly believed that in the past 40 + years we went to a Marketing Style "Must have don't need" ! Now if you really need something what do you do??

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Keep in mind I could have taken pictures of the Cereals\ Isle or the Laundry Detergent Isle the story and  the situation is the same.... reminds me of Real Estate how do you seperate yourself from all the massess?

Good point, Endre. When I trained new agents I would always tell them they needed to find and then express their points of differentiation to prospective clients. We are a commodity, houses are a commodity, otherwise.

You know, this really came to my attention just recently.  I was in a real hurry and definitely needed this particular  food item.  I am in the correct aisle, in front of the item and brand, and still have to read through rows and shelves in search of the one I am looking for.  I did not have the time and reached over to another brand with a lot less choices.  Seems some products have gone the way of over-marketing on descriptions, adjectives....adverbs....

Fantastic point, Endre!  BTW, love the sign with the American flag in the background - perfect for one of your signs!

If we need to adhere to a list to avoid the sensory overload just on the cracker isle, imagine what the consumer is going through. We really have to differentiate ourselves these days as our market is flooded with real estate agents. Last count I saw, 11,832 in the Charlotte market! Seems like everybody's sister is one in 2018!
