The Smart Doorbell - RING has many values! I like it as I work from home, and when someone cannot read -- NO Solicitors and rings anyway, I can see who is at the door, and don't have to stop working. One time it gave me a notification that there was suspicious activity close to my front door, and the camera showed the activity. (Trash day we have many scavengers that like to see what is on the curb before the trash guys arrive.)
This past week, one night after dinner my phone went off - giving me a notification. I did not hear the actual doorbell, so went to the door. No one was there. Went back to my phone, and there was an alert from a near-by neighborhood stating a homeowner was alerting other homeowners that there was a thief rifling through mailboxes in the area. Good information to have!
I have a locked cluster mailbox in my neighborhood, but thought this was another great feature that I had no idea existed.
Also, had a closing last month where the homeowner had not only had a RING doorbell but the NEST thermostat, and the homeowner needs to cancel and/or remove their email to the new homeowner can have access. This notice is now on my checklist for closing!
