Recycling Containers for Gaithersburg Residents

Residents of the City of Gaithersburg who are living in single family homes and townhouses have two choices when it comes to containers for Gaithersburg's convenient single stream recycling program: 18 gallon bins with detachable lids or 65 gallon wheeled carts.

Recyclable paper, plastic, glass, steel and aluminum materials can all go into one single container for collection on your regular recycling day. To order a replacement container or a lid, click here or call the Department of Public Works at 301-258-6370

Thursdays are the recycling days for residents of Kentlands.

Good morning, Roy... here in our area, they have started eliminating the small recycling bins and are going totally to the big bins (which we've used for years and love).

Roy, great post, and so many families are recycling now.  We see both the smaller bins and the larger ones.

We have been recyling for over 20 years in my area.   Not hard when you get used to it. Now it is just second nature.
