Pebble Creek is a wonderful subdivision to call home, and I would like to begin introducing you to some Pebble Creek residents and hearing why they LOVE Pebble Creek!
This month I had the privilege to interview Bruce and Mary Ann Dickson!
Q: So, Bruce and Mary Ann, tell me a little bit about yourselves!
Bruce is a Professor Emeritus at TAMU where he was a teaching and research faculty member in the Department of Anthropology for 42 years. He is an archeologist who has conducted field work in Africa, Central America and the southwestern US.
A: Mary Ann worked for and is also retired from TAMU. She worked in communications and administration in the Colleges of Medicine, Education and Engineering during her time there.
We have 2 daughters, both married, and 4 grandchildren. One daughter lives in Spring; the other resides in Geneva, IL.
We have a beloved dog named Preston, who was rescued from the Aggieland Animal Shelter 12 years ago.
We also have a small ranch retreat near Caldwell which keeps us busy when we are not traveling internationally or in the US.
Q: So how long have you two lived in Pebble Creek and what drew you to the neighborhood?
A: After 24 years living in Bryan, we moved to Pebble Creek 18 years ago. We were attracted by the neighborhood’s ability to retain property values and expand
Q: What have you enjoyed most about living in Pebble Creek?
A: We appreciate the diversity of ages and cultures represented here. We have had great neighbors and made many friends. The sense of community is another plus in PC.
We appreciate the cultural advantages of living in a university town as well as our proximity to two larger cities.
Q: For those who may be new to College Station and to Pebble Creek, do you have any favorite places to go or local clubs you enjoy?
A: Currently, our favorite restaurants are Mad Taco, Blue Baker and The Republic.
