This was “leg day” for me with my trainer, Jenn Miller, at the YMCA. I can’t possibly describe what a great job Jenn has done with this “old lady.” Jenn’s a true professional, and takes the time to understand my goals and how I think.
You’ll clearly recognize the strength exerted by glancing at the facial expressions. We will not only call today a Bad Hair Day, but it’s also a Bad Face Day!!! I’m going to overlook both of those factors and post the photos.
I’m very proud of moving “405 pounds” with my legs on the Leg Press. That’s the stack of 390 pounds plus the whole dial with another 15 pounds. I think I remember doing 8 reps.
Age is truly just a number when you eat healthy and focus on strength training and flexibility. This 71 year old is a prime example.
Every muscle was shaking in both legs, and I was focused on my knee caps!! I’ll tell you now that I’ll never need knee replacement with the muscle strength around those knees.
Thanks, Jenn, for all that you do for me. Keep pushing me, coach. I truly appreciate it.
