Reach out 2- ActiveRain Challenge and March ActiveRain Contest...
I always like to stay busy when I’m faced with some downtime. Yesterday I was sitting waiting for a home inspection and a septic pump truck at a listing. I decided to call some of my friends on ActiveRain. The trouble when you try to be honest and tell the person you’re And that I thought of them while waiting for a sewage truck. Makes for a great opening line though.
The first person I called was Carol Williams and she didn’t answer so I left her a message and she was at the store and couldn’t talk. She texted Me and told me she would call me back. Since I didn’t know how deep I was going to be in my appointment I told her I would call her back.
She had a teatime at 1:30 and I was able to get back to her in a timely manner.
Carol is one of those type of people that is very easy to talk to and she sounded just like I thought she would. It was like talking and joking with the kid sister I never had.
We talked for about a half hour and learned about each other‘s real estate history and our golf games (she has one). We also talked about her concerns and mine of the destination of ActiveRain and where we were headed. Carol really wants to help rejuvenate the website and I think she would do a fantastic job. We also talked about how many spam new members we see on a daily basis.
So if there is anybody, at corporate ActiveRain, Who would entertain some help, Carol and I’m sure several of the ambassadors would be glad to help. She is also concerned about the lack of meet ups that we used to have and don’t anymore.
Well Golf was calling and she had to go but I’m sure that we will touch base again in the near future.
If I were one of the powers that be with ActiveRain; I would take Carol up on her offer....
