WILSON!!!
Did you see the movie Castaway? Yesterday, our group was discussing the movie at dinner. This morning, we awoke to this floating object in the Caribbean in Barbados! We all have suites that adjoin one another and we share a large balcony on the ship. I saw this floating in the water about 7AM this morning and looked at Ray, who hadn't seen it yet and shouted, "WILSON!!"
If you missed the movie, Tom Hanks was a FED/EX employee whose plane crashed; he wound up naming a volleyball 'Wilson' and nearly the entire movie was of him 'talking' to his only 'friend,' Wilson! Just before his rescue, the ball floated beyond his reach and one of the heartwrenching scenes in the movie was Hanks crying out for his only friend he'd had for months, while stranded on a deserted island.
We had a good laugh out of the fact that this lone volleyball was floating outside our suites in the Caribbean. I snapped the photo hours ago and at dinner tonight, shared it - we couldn't believe how 'artistic' the shot seemed to be of the Caribbean Sea - nevermind the ball!
