Google Shortener Shutting Down April 13

Hi Ginny- thank you for letting us know about this!  I think I used the Google shortener a few times but usually use bit.ly.

Thanks for passing this along - I was not aware. I mostly use Bit.ly so not much of a problem, but I did panic that the Google shortened URLs would not work and that would be a problem!!

Shortening a URL is good, but sometimes people will look at shortened versions and say, should I click that?

I've not used this one, and I've been VERY lax in using Bit.ly and I need to use it more. So many things, so......

Ah, something I've missed doing and now don't need to worry about.

Thanks for catching this, Ginny Gorman. While I've not used the Google shortener, I have used others. It stinks when a provider decides to drop a service like this. It's almost impossible to track everything to update after a while - especially with short notice.

I've never used it so I guess I won't miss it. Must be frustrating for those who do find it useful though. I hate having something I really use often suddenly become no longer available!

OH MY GOSH, I had no idea, Ginny! I've used them for years - now to find all of those shortlinks - UGH! I may need to hire a Fivvr guy to get the job done!
