What an awesome opportunity to help another Chanhassen first time home buyer! It was a pleasure to assist this homebuyer in the purchase of their first home! In any seller's market, it is not uncommon to be in a multiple offer scenarios when you go to submit an offer on a property.

This Chanhassen home had 3 other offers competing. We were able to beat out the competition on this one and secured an accepted purchase agreement.

Multiple offers is where more than one buyer is presenting their offer to a seller. This can really be any amount of offers even 10 or more on a really hot property. The situation is typically handled by the seller giving all qualified buyer's the opportunity to give their highest and best offer, which is usually presented to the seller all at once with a specific deadline. The seller then will go through the pro's and con's of each offer presented and determine which offer will be chosen.

Our offer was chosen over two other offers in this competitive market. The listed price on this Chanhassen home for sale was $285,000, the final sale price ended up being $297,250 with the seller contributing $8,266 toward the buyers closing costs.

In the state of Minnesota, it has been typical to ask the seller to make some contributions to the buyers closing costs in the form of concessions. Since the current market has low inventory, buyers are competing more heavily to gain an accepted offer.
