Wordless Wednesday - "Showing Instructions"
When I arrive to show a home and find a note on the door like this it always makes me wonder why they didn't just change the lock so that it operates properly. It took a few minutes but, with the help of my client we did finally get in.
I have a stomach ache just trying to read the note... One of my least favorite parts of showing homes is trying to open locks that need 'special attention.'

How does this make you look to a client. At least they left a note. Been there when there was no note and had to have help from clients to get in. Not good.

If I was listing the property I'd skip the note. We Realtors are not always the brightest lot but most of us can operate a lock and door knob.

I never understand how homeowners can have a problem door and the solution is to provide directions on how to operate it rather than simply fixing the problem. It certainly does not start the home tour off very well!

Jeff Dowler me either, it's a pet peeve of mine. You make a great point, my client was turned off before he ever went inside.
Amanda, this is poor form, and better to have the issues repaired, than write a stupid note.
