Recently I was in a conversation with a man who I was hoping to hire to do some web site work for me.  During our time together, I mentioned that I was going to be interviewing someone on the radio show who is a Web Site Coach.  He looked at me and asked, " Why Would Anyone Need A Website Coach"?  That is when it occurred to me...if you need to ask that question, chances are you need to hire one.  ( and chances are I may need to put the help wanted sign back up).

When I mentioned this conversation to Christine Chubenko...well, did she have lots to say!  Christine Chubenko is in fact a Website Coach.  Let's face it, how many of us really know what we should know when it comes to designing a web site?  Websites are imperative to a business owner in today's high tech world.  What however should we know before we invest money in to developing these sites?  It's not all about the pretty...are we driving visitor's to our web sites and better yet, are we causing those visitors to become our clients?  Are we getting as good a return on investment as we can?  What are the do's and don'ts of owning a successful web site?

Tune in Friday, May 23 at 1 p.m. eastern time to Diva in the House-The Voice of Real Estate Staging at www.radiosandysprings.com   My guest is Christine Chubenko from www.yourwebsitecoach.net  You can read some wonderful articles written by Christine at http://www.yourwebsitecoach.net/articles.htm  This is an hour of information you won't want to miss.  This show, as well as all of our shows will be archived in 2 to 3 business days after the live show at www.radiosandysprings.com/diva.php

Cheers!

9 Comments on If You Have to Ask What A Web Site Coach Does~ You May Need Their Services

Gina, interesting idea. I will say though that I spent about $500 to "hire" someone to consult wiht about my business.  They came back to me with "buy this product (that we sell) and buy this product" with very little value to the whole thing.  I would, if I were considering this, at least try to check on the company and ensure that they aren't doing anything similar.

We know absolutely nothing ----- our web host supplies us with a web coach, but of course they want to sell everything..........but, believe it or not, first week of June our Board Office is having a class on web coaching ........I am so excited about that, need all the help I can get ........and, the class is not just opened to Realtors, it is free to the realtors but think non-members is like $20 ........if our board is doing that, probably others are also ........

Great show topic!  I am going to do my best to listen :-)

Chris~This is a topic that Christine and I have spoken at length about.  What I find so refreshing about Christine is that we share the same philosophy.  It's why I LOVE focusing on redesign...the ability of using what someone already owns.  Most people worry about working with a designer because they feel like someone will walk in and try to make them get rid of everything and buy all new things.  I did not want to be a product driven designer.  Christine knows that most people worry that she will coach them in to all these new purchases...that's not her style at all.  She, like us, was a small business owner...she understands and helps people to make over what they already have and slowly build upward as budget allows.  I hope you will tune in and listen to what she has to share.

Ernie and Barb~I think it's wonderful that your Board Office is offering such a program.  I love my web site designer...but to be honest...she just did what I asked.  She never offered me advice on verbiage or explained to me that my site needed to have certain essentials.  I don't think that makes her a bad web site designer by any means...she's very talented, but there were things that I have since learned ( the hard way ) that I wished I would have been coached on in the beginning.

Tori Lynn~ I'm glad you think it's a great topic.  I thought so too.  There are so many important things to know as one starts and grows a business.  You are going to love Christine's energy and information.

Cheers All!

I hope all of you will check out the archived version of my interview with Christine.  She was a fabulous guest and provided a lot of " ah ha " moments.  She has some great information that you can get off of her site at www.yourwebsitecoach.net   Click on the published articles tab and read through the numerous articles archived from her news columns.  I personally printed a bunch of them for future reference.

Cheers!

Hey Gina -- I featured this in the Newbie group http://activerain.com/groups/RealWorldHomeStaging

A little late I know, but a reminder that it is easy to listen to the archive version, which is what I often do the following week!

Thx!

Thank you Ms. Karen!  I so appreciate your continued support of the show.  I tried to put together an entire month's worth of programming that dealt with the 3 key marketing ingredients for any successful business owner.  Identifying your brand, establishing a successful presence on the internet and identifying your niche market so that all your advertising efforts deliver the highest return on investment.  I myself have gathered so much information from this month's guests and it's not over yet!  Thanks again girlfriend!

Cheers and hugs!
