If you haven't been following the story, I held an open house a couple weeks back, put an ad in the paper and signs around the neighborhood. Only ONE visitor showed up. After showing the house, which didn't work for them, being a two-story, we got to talking about what they were looking to buy.

The next day I went on vacation, but put these folks on my Home Quest daily email list (let me know if you are interested in the service) and noticed they were using it (Home Quest allows you to see what clients are viewing).

When I returned from vacation a week later, I got a call from these folks and they were SO appreciative of the emails I had been sending of properties. They also wanted to go see some.

Today we looked at five properties and found one they really like. They are thinking on it tonight, but it looks promissing we will be writing up an offer. Regardless, I was able to join with them in a buyer's agency agreement - so I feel confident I will be working with them.

Now, I am so thankful I put that ad in the paper and did the open house. Even though there was only one visitor and one call off the ad, I see a great future with this new client of mine.

1 Comments on Open House Part 4 - buyer's agency

I did a post not too long ago on Open Houses, They really do work.

Sometimes you sell the listing, sometimes you get customers for other houses sometimes you get clients that need to sell.

Sometimes you just get your name out there.

All the best!
