Great video, Brad. Very cool, easy to understand. Hope it will be prominently displayed for folks who want to join. So are you going to teach us how you did all those neat things?
This is great! This is how I'll begin my 1 hour consultation on blogging/internet tools to serve the seller/social media in business which I gave away as a door prize today for a brokers open. Have yet to contact the lucky winner! Bookmarking!
I am just learning this stuff and how to do these videos, so I appreciate your patience, and support with them. Your comments and critiques are very much appreciated, thanks.
They aren't as easy to do as they may look...but its worth the time cause there's a whole new world of Video Blogging out there, and we all will have to start somewhere sometime. :-)
Jeff - thanks! It's crazy that I got this done it 2 minutes!! Wish I could learn to do a Blog Post in 2 minutes. OLet me learn this stuff and I'd be happy to teach you whatever I know. Still going through the growing pains right now. :-))
Sam - that's great. Just going through the sign up process again, I realized that it's something we all only do once, (it has been over a year for me), so it allowed me to see some areas I know we can improve on for ActiveRain newbies new members. We can and will do better in that area now. Thanks for sharing and commenting. :-)

Natalie - thanks for using this as part of your consultation on Blogging, that's a real honor, I appreciate that, thank you. Hope the lucky winner is someone who appreciates all that you do as a blogger here in the rain, I know I do. :-)
Hey AJ - I'm getting there, Video really is just the next step in what's ahead for us in this industry. This post is to help get folks here, the other stuff will be to help them once they're here. Thanks my friend, hope to meet up with you real soon. :-))
Katerina - I know there isn't a real need to invite members, they are already coming in droves, and you're right, out of all the new members that join each day, only 10% or so actually write a post on their Blog. I have taken a heart of passion for these new members and wish to see those numbers change. They Will!
It's my personal mission to take new members under our wings and try to help them learn to fly. The Blog and other videos are coming soon, this just gave me a chance to practice with ActiveRain Video and the new console. Thanks, I'm looking forward to all your Video Blogs in the future too. :-)
BTW - did you see the new additions with the video dashboard and console? WOW & Yeah!!
Brad I will be speaking at a event in Detroit at a KW office in June. I will use this post and video. You said it all great ! Now how do you suggest I get them to sign up under me ? I can get their cards, but I have an hour drive back home and some will log on and do it before I can get home and personally invite them.
Hi Missy - For that event, you could let them know you'll be sending an email invite to each of them with a "Link" to join ActiveRain. You can also put up a "KW Join Now" graphic on your profile page, or under your photo on your Blog and direct them there. The video instructions here will be the same, just the link will be adding them under you.
Here's one you could use, or create your own. The link on this one comes from me, just change it out so that it's coming from you. Hope that helps, and good luck with your presentation in Detroit.
Brad , thanks for the great video, I couldn't remember what program you said you used to video the screen. I did upload a video on how to make a video using Camtasia, but it took me a while to figure out where to save it to.
Hi David - (or is this Bonnie) I am not familiar with camtasia, saw your video, and love how you are using the ActiveRain Video for posting. Keep up the good work. I'll check out camsatia, I like to use jasc, screencast and screenflow, very cool tools we have now days. :-)
Karen and Ray, glad you find this useful, feel free to send to any guests you'd like to invite here, you can also use the invite links on AR to get referral points if members sign up from an invite that you send them. It's on your "My Home" page at the bottom on the left, "Invite Others". Hope you will. :-)
Sharon, try again. I just checked it in both Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox and it seems to be working fine. As a last resort, here's a link to ActiveRain Video where I have this hosted. Let me know if either works for you. I'll be waiting to hear from you... thanks. :-)
Cheryl - you are too sweet, thanks. You should send it along with an invitation link from you, that way you get credit on AR if they sign up. See the comment I wrote to Karen and Ray above? It's about 3 comments above this one. Thanks again. :-)
Christine - thanks, it's really only useful to those who have not joined, but it did give me a chance to see if I could do it in 2 minutes, learn this video application, and see what statistics will tell me about a 2 min video versus a 5 minute video. 90% of those that viewed this watched 100% of the video. The 5 minute video, more than 75% watched only 30% percent of it. That prooves that viewers like short videos. A lot can b learned froma simple 2 minute video post on ActiveRain. :-))
Brian - thanks for commenting even though you weren't logged in. It's worth 25 points to you if you login before commenting on a blog post. Just FYI... :-)
Terry - some people just need a little help and inspiration, those who have considered, but haven't joined, this might help them to see how easy it really is, and it does only take 2-5 minutes to become a member here.
Hi Brad..Great Comparisons, at first glance Vidder seemed one on top, but after watching AR, I'm convinced AR has the best for clarity and loading. Well Done, and thanks.
Hi Lenn - we've been having some issues over the holiday weekend. I keep getting the Proxy Server error, but we're working on it....habng in there. How's that video stuff coming? :-)
Fred - this is weird, your comment on this post is one that should have shown up on the Video Comparison post, unless you meant for it to be here, very bizarrre. Thanks, let me know if you intended to have this here or over on the video comparison post. Want to see if maybe there was a bug in the system when you posted it. Thanks Fred :-)
This video is the shortest video I think I have created on AR. 2 minutes is a record for me. I have learned by using the AR Video Console and statistics that more people have viewed the entire 2 minute video than most videos that get posted. Most of the time, people will only watch 1-2 minutes before they click stop or X on the page. Short video is good. Long video is only good if it has or shows something spectacular. A great learning lesson in more ways than one. :-)
Great video, Brad. Very cool, easy to understand. Hope it will be prominently displayed for folks who want to join. So are you going to teach us how you did all those neat things?
