TRUE group rate health insurance comes to WA small business owners and freelance workers

Best of Washington is a new FREE non-profit online statewide organization helping small business owners in Washington.

Best of WA uses collective clout to secure discounts for members and helps them advertise their businesses. Staples is already on board: they give 15%-35% off online orders to our members.

The larger the membership, the better and more numerous the discounts. Once we get 1,200 members, we will be able to offer true group-rate health insurance. This is not a medical discount plan. The policies are not individually written. No prexisting exclusions. Families and registered domestic partners of members may be included on health insurance plan. Members must live and work in WA.

The group needs bigger membership numbers to attract more vendors to give great discounts. Right now we only have a handful of vendors. Dozens of other businesses are interested but want to see bigger membership numbers before they offer deals.

*This is truly a non-profit organization. The founders launched Best of Washington with volunteer time and personal money. We are in the process of becoming a 501c6 non-profit corporation. There is no hidden agenda.

*Discounts offered to free members will always be free of dues. Some high-ticket discounts (including sales of hottest cell phones without signing a service contract) will be offered to dues-paying members. Dues will be no higher than $9 per month per business. Dues will lower toward $7 per month as we get more members.

*After securing health insurance, we will offer true group rate dental & vision insurance plans a few month later.

I think Best of Washington is going to help thousands of real estate agents get lower cost supplies and services as well as access to true group rate health insurance.

We three founders have over 1,000 volunteer hours into making this all happen. We are in the process of incorporating as a 501c6 non-profit statewide online chamber of commerce.

Catchy Title and thanks for the invitation.

A BIG problem we in SW Washington have had for centuries is our close proximity to Oregon. The Insurance companies treat us as if we were in Oregon, while the Oregon Plans don't necessarily follow Washington's Laws. The result has been far fewer plans to choose and higher premiums. Will this "State-Wide" plan you are contemplating cover SW Washington as well?

Yes, the insurance and all the other discounts offered at Best of Washington will be available to small business owners in all parts of Washington, including SW WA.

We can't sign a contract for insurance until we have at least 1,000 members interested in it. Lots of people are excited about getting discounts and insurance via Best of WA but postpone registering. Please register for free at www.BestOfWA.com and please spread the word among other business owners you know.
