In April of 2017, ATTOM Data Solutions reported nationwide there were 579,053 properties scheduled for foreclosure filings, default notices, auctions, and bank repossessions in March of 2018 gained 21.0% from February of 2018, and increased 11.0% from March of 2017. While 30.3% were pre foreclosures, 34.9% were auctions, and 34.8% were REOs; One in every 1,776 housing units was in foreclosure in March 2018.
Pre-foreclosures rose 6.0% in March of 2018, from February of 2018, but down 14.9% from March of 2017; Auctions decraseded 5.0% in March of 2018, from February of 2018, and fell 7.6% from March of 2017; REO jumped 100.5% in March of 2018, from February of 2018, and declined 9.6% from March of 2017.
