I Know Something You Don’t Know (do you sing it with an attitude!)

You actually do not know anything that others do not know. What you do know is how to do something YOUR WAY. I do marketing MY way, but I like doing almost everything MY way!

The blogging topics on any site, especially ActiveRain, are not unique topic. They are not secrets. They are not confidential information. What they are is a variety of topics that everyone is familiar with, but they are described differently. Every agent is unique. Every method of marketing can be found online but with a variety of approaches.

This blog post was inspired by a comment made on one of my posts this morning. The agent basically stated that he never shares because he doesn’t have any information that has not already been previously stated by others. After reading that I responded with the fact that everyone has a different style with different thoughts for every real estate topic that’s ever been shared.

We share because there may be others who respond that will share one of their thoughts on a topic. We can always improve our methods by complementing what we have with something another might do.

Those who do not write blog posts because they do not have a new topic would be wise to jump in and join the group of bloggers who do the same thing but have their own personal touch.

If you’re in the business and you make money, you’re doing something right. Share what you do by writing a blog post. The comments you receive might be just enough for a modification and improvement for what you’re doing, and you’ll become a blogger who consistently participates.

Just a thought for the moment….let’s hope too many of these don’t surface today!!!

Our individual spin on a well worn topic may be just the thing that motivates another agent to get out there and do whatever it is that they have read about over and over.

Hi Barbara... a very good message, especially to those newer to the Rain. When I first starting blogging I had the same hesitation... that everything had already been said. I quickly realized it had, but that I could say it in a different way and reach an audience who responded to my style.

BarbaraT- well done!  Like Nina Hollander when I began blogging, I had the same thoughts...hasn't it already been said?!  Even if we were the ones who blogged it, our own perspective can change over the years. And the comments generated can educate us all.

I've often heard from new members that "every topic" has been written about....and I explain what's in this post...  Kathy Streib ...once they write a ost about a common topic and realize others will comment and learn something from their thoughts, they have a surge of energy and continue to participate...

I can only sing when no one is listening.  Heck, I can barely stand my own voice in song.

Still, that's an excellent topic you have covered here.  Time can change our perspectives, and provide fresh insight to share in future and current blogs.

Barbara, I learned long ago, you must have a few sources of business, the more outlets the better.   Blogging is definitely one of them.
