For those of you who travel the area frequently, you will have noticed that a new Stop Light has been installed at the intersection of Clements Ferry Road and Cainhoy Road, Berkeley County.
This is an improvement to the junction of these roads, especially if you are turning from Cainhoy Road on to Clements ferry Road towards Mount Pleasant. The reasoning behind it, I'm not sure. There have been a few accidents at that spot and there is more traffic coming down Cainhoy Road with the addition of new subdivisions like Brightwood Plantation.
The thing that I have found strange about this new Stop Light, which as from today is fully functional, is this.
I saw the workmen put in the Stop Lights, I have seen them hanging there for a couple of weeks, I even noticed when they were a flashing yellow signal.
So why oh why do I not see them when they are RED.
No crash or No accident or No jumping a red light, just some hard braking. Luckily no one was following me.
So my message is, even if you know it's there still be careful!
