It supposed to be spring. We fishermen and women are looking for soft water.
Right now every lake in the state is frozen. Rivers if open are to dangerous to be on.
So, what to do...
Well this is what I am doing:
Charging batteries.
Checking licenses for boat and fishing.
Changing line on the reels.
Checking out the lures in the tackle box.
Sharpening hooks (and knives) and repairing lures that need some repairing.
Re-organizing the tackle box.
Then taking inventory on what I have and then need.
Making sure my fishing partner's (my wife) check out the trolling motor.
Change oil in the motor and in the lower unit.
Check out the trailer. Bearings greased and tire inflated properly.
This is just a start on getting things ready. Can't forget about the bait and bait holders.
Yes, there is a lot to do before the boat goes into the water
Never know what you may see when out on the lake
