Palms, is a specific section of West Los Angeles, now with that said look at the connection with LACommons.org....
I have been driving around in the greater Los Angeles Neighborhoods for quite some time. Lately I have noticed some great artistic changes to Electric Boxes that have looked boring and now they seem to have a vibrant look to it. Every time I drove by one of these colorful remakes of the boxed I was in a rush heading to point A and did not have time. Now with that said I had to same issue heading home, hence no time to stop.
Finally, a couple days ago I had a moment and after the third box I said I have to backtrack and take a picture. Well see for yourself.
Palms is an area of West Los Angeles and it has become one of the last pockets of Los Angeles that are still somewhat affordable. I was planning on writing a post about Palms and planned on utilizing the photo as an illustration.
Once I took the picture I noticed on the bottom of the art work “LACommons.org” since I never heard of them before it was time for me to learn about them. Not wanting to bore you but here is a small clip from their website.:
LA Commons helps Los Angeles’s diverse neighborhoods give voice to their unique stories through
community-based arts programs that express the cultural and historical essence of the communities.
With its Trekking LA program, LA Commons introduces tourists to these arts projects, and to the
authentic food, music and culture of the communities. Through these inter-connected programs, LA
Commons educates, empowers and enriches neighborhoods, while promoting greater understanding,
engagement and connectedness for residents and visitors to Los Angeles. Established in 2003, LA
Commons is a 501(c)(3) organization, and is a project of the non-profit incubator, Community Partners.
