If you are looking to buy a home in 2018 it is important to work with a buyer agent to represent you.
The agent will email you listings based on your requirements. You too can search the internet on your own on the agent's web site . You may find listings on other sites or see , FOR Sale SIGNS.
Do not call the agent whose name is on the sign. Your agent has access to the mls and will be informing you of all active listings.
If the agent has not informed you it might mean the house is under contract. But the agent will look up information and inform you why she did not email you the listing information.
You can email or call the agent to set up appointments to look at homes that you like based on the information and photos of listings that were emailed or the ones you found on other sites.
Please remember some listings show up on other sites even after the homes have sold and settled.If you work with an agent who will inform you of all new listings, you can save the time that you would waste searching all over the internet..
When you are with your agent mention what you like and dislike about each house that you see so that the agent will understand your needs and try to show you homes that you might like and not waste your time.
If you are running late, or want to cancel the appointment, please call your agent so that the agent can inform the listing agent .
Step # 5 Preview homes.
After looking at several homes you will find a home that meets most of your criteria and you should be in a position to make an offer if you like the house.
If it is a lovely house or a great buy someone else may also want to make an offer. You do not want to wait too long and get into a bidding war..
Step #4 Hire a buyer agent.
