Prince George's County Maryland Increased its Recordation Tax

The Washington Post reported today that Prince George's County has
increased its Recordation Tax effective July 1, 2008, from $2.20 per
$500 of home value to $2.50 per $500.

If you are estimating the tax, it is now 0.44%.  The new amount will be
0.5%.  (To be exact, round up to the next $500 and multiply by .44% or
.5%)
