For the better part of May, I have taken a breather from Active Rain. Yes, I have been busy at work, but I had also gotten AR fatigue. I try to put so much into my postings and into my interactions with my fellow Rainers, that it was consuming a lot of my time. Early mornings and late nights were spent huddled over my computer. My husband was having a hard time recognizing me when I wasn't bathed in the glow of the computer screen.
Plus, in all candor, I was getting discouraged because I wasn't getting the return on investment that other Rainers seemed to be getting in terms of leads. Other folks, whose work I admired on AR, were waxing poetic about all the leads they were getting, and here I was with next to nothing to show for my hard work. I felt like it was time to throw in the towel.
A funny thing happened, though. I missed Active Rain. I missed the knowledge that I gained from other members on the site. I missed the knowledge that I gained of my community by doing research for my posts. Most of all, I missed my Active Rain friends.
So, I've rededicated myself to this wonderful community. I may not put quite so much time into it as I have in the past, but I will still be active. I hope that you will stop by and visit me from time-to-time and read my posts--both my personal ones, and the ones about my beloved North Georgia Mountains.
Yours in the Rain,
Kim
Welcome back to Active Rain. Everyone goes through these slow times, just remember it can only get better.
