It's snowing for the second day in a row here in Park City.  It's a little crazy to think that just last Sunday I was sunning myself next to the pool at Promontory and today there are inches of snow on the ground and more falling!  But that's the kind of weather you get living in a mountain town I guess.  We're coming up on 10 months of winter in these parts and I can't say I'm really complaining, it's just the short summer season we get here is so wonderful, I just wish it would show up already.  This whole concept of June-uary sounds quite silly but in fact is is begining to look like a firm reality.

Here's an update on our local market values:
The most exclusive real estate in Utah continued to hold its value as the median price of a single-family home sold in the greater Park City area, which includes Summit and Wasatch counties, in the first quarter remained at $649,140, nearly unchanged compared to a median price of $650,000 in the first quarter of 2007.

I hope it's sunny where you are.  And if it is, please send a little up to us!  And don't forget to checkout our blog at www.parkcitywire.com

7 Comments on It's Snowing In Park City - Go Figure! (& an update too)

I just read a post that it was snowing in Big Bear - strange weather these days!

Here in Boise, Idaho it was 90+ on Saturday and Sunday, now it will only get in the 50's today if we are lucky!  I shouldn't complain though cause at least we don't have snow!

Sounds like your market is going strong!  I think all of Utah has been weathering the "economic storm" pretty well.

Hope you can go skiing!

thanks for the comments!  I doubt we'll be skiing at any of the resorts here in park city but certainly the salt lake city resorts that are still open are pretty stoked!

Rob & Rachel

I just posted a blog about the Mount Washington Auto road being closed today (5/23) due to heavy snow fall last night, so New Hampshire is getting the unusual cold also. Steve

Rob & Rachel, I glad to see we here in Summit County Colorado are not alone. We got a couple of inches yesterday and some flurries today with more expected tonight. So much for spring!

all this strange weather...we have couple friends who are spending Memorial Weekend in St. George...they text messaged me yesterday commenting on the cool weather...it's sunny in PC today - well mostly sunny - but I'm trying to stay positive and just hope for a few good weeks of summer in my future...I've heard of a "rain dance" anyone have any ideas on some sort of "sun dance"?  and I don't mean the film festival  ;)
