While everyone is at their picnics with family and friends I hope they truly understand what they are supposed to be thinking about.  I always wonder....Do they even know what this day is for?  Even while I am with some of my own relatives.  I wonder.

Here is a video, I hope you will take some time (5 minutes and 23 seconds) away from your burgers, hotdogs, beverages, etc... to watch and reflect on what this day is for.

Please share this with as many people as you can, so they too have the chance to celebrate the Holiday the way it was meant to be. Thanks for taking the time to honor all those we have lost, protecting what we believe in.

John, I've seen that before.  Apparently the "barbeque" group has not.  Its unfortunate that most people in this country don't give our service personnel a second thought these days.

GREAT post...my dad was in Korea.....my Uncle was a retired Lt. Commander for the Navy....my Grandfather was decorated in WW1

Those guys and girls sacrifice a WHOLE lot to do what they do....

I am grateful!!
