Sellers, please do one thing...

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with WHISPERING PINES REALTY 20398180

Please...Mr. and Mrs. seller, do one thing for me.

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!!!

If here is one thing that buyers will turn their nose up at is a house that is dirty.

A clean house will not have much of an odor.

If you need to burn candles or back pies to make the home smell good, buyers wonder what you are trying to cover up.

Look in the corners, under the sofa, under the beds.

Surface cleaning helps, but a deep cleaning can't be beat!

Morning William.

I've had clients who refused to enter a home due to the smell.  Clean and tidy is how all homes should be when they are ready to be sold

Good morning, William... till the day I die I will not understand how people live in less than clean homes, especially those who can afford outside help to clean. What most people think of as a deep clean to sell their home is SOP in my house. I couldn't sleep otherwise.

I totally agree. Many of those air fresheners have cloying scents which can turn off buyers so having a clean house that doesn't need them is a great thing.

Good morning William. Cleaning is time consuming but not costly and it pays.

Good morning William.  I can only add my voice to try to spread the word to all sellers about keeping their homes clean.

When sellers ask me what they need to do to get their home ready to sell, that is always the first thing that I tell them.

I think most people fail to realize just how much they truly need to clean their house before it hits the market.

Hi William

This is certainly valuable advice as a dirty home sends a powerful and not positive message to buyers. It can be a big job in some cases and many do not realize how much they might have to do!

William- I know that all agents and stagers shout this out with you. Sellers, if it's not in your budget to paint or update, at least make it clean.

I love the smell and look of a clean house. Buyers respond to a clean house with better offers.
