BallenIsles Country Club's pedigree began in 1963 when John D. MacArthur contracted with the Professional Golf Association to establish a golf headquarters in Florida. The P.G.A was located for ten years on the golf courses which became BallenIsles. The P.G.A. qualifying school, PGA Seniors Championships, and the World Club were held on these courses. Today, club members and their guests of all skill levels enjoy the three 18 hole championship golf courses with competitive and recreational play. BallenIsles golf professional, Annette Thompson, was inducted into the Ladies Professional Golf Association Hall of Fame in 2006.
