BOOK DISCUSSION with Mark Schenker  - Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Thursday, June 19, 2008 @ 7:00 pm

PART OF THE BIG READ FOR GREATER NEW HAVEN

A book discussion with Yale University Dean of Academic Affairs Mark Schenker, at the Woodbridge Town Library. The topic will be the Big Read selection Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. After more than 50 years, Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury's cautionary tale of book-burnings and state-enforced thought control, still strikes a nerve. Join with others all across the Greater New Haven area in reading this timeless and engrossing novel. Add your voice to this lively discussion, led by literary expert, Mark Schenker!

This is a free program, and all are welcome to join. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required. Free copies of the novel will be given to all registered participants, while supplies last! Please visit the Circulation Desk or call 389-3466 to register or for more information.

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest. The Big Read - Greater New Haven is co-presented by The International Festival of Arts & Ideas and the Connecticut Library Consortium.
