Home inspections can always be a source of surprises even in homes that are on the newer side.  When a home inspector comes in to do their job for the buyer it is their job to find anything that may be a problem.  Every home will turn up some minor issues and there also can be some bigger issues hiding that maybe the seller is unaware of. 

In this market it is very hard to find good buyers so it might  be a good idea to hire a professional home inspector to go through your home to find anything thats an issue so you can get it taken care of rather than be surprised by the results when the buyer brings in their inspector. 

This will prevent you from losing a buyer because there are many homes to choose from right now and the buyer may wish not to get involved with any repair issues. Although you may feel its not worth the extra money, its one more way to secure the sale of your home.
