If you can possibly get away from what you are doing, now is the time to come to Saugatuck! We must have 3,000 shades of green going on. Everyday there is more and more color. All the flowering trees are blooming.
Every bend in the road brings a breathtaking sight.
Yesterday as I was driving I took a few photos to share with you all and in the process spooked five deer down by the Kalamazoo River.
Later when I was taking the sunset photo, seven blue herons flew right over my head into the twilight.
When I finally got home, a hummingbird was sitting on my stoop. Must have flown into my glass door and hurt itself. I picked it up, fed it some sugar water from my finger and put it in a birdcage for the night.
This morning I put it back outside and everytime it tried to fly in fell.
Finally I put it on the hummingbird feeder.
It seemed to be a little more with it but hummingbirds are not always totally with it. Not much room for brains in those little heads. They are fearless. If the feeder is empty and I go outside, they will just fly in front of me and demand that I take some action.
Anyhow, I had to leave on an errand so I left this poor little bird on the feeder. When I came back, it had "flown the coup. " There were no feathers anyway in sight so I think it recovered and took offand was not attacked by a larger bird.

The Wisteria is in bloom by the Octogon House again and is more beautiful than ever.
You don't have to be down at the beach to appreciate the beautiful sunset. Here is a photo of sunset over the Kalamazoo River.
And while you are here you can look at some of our lovely homes. Check them out first on my website - mysaugatuck.com. Call me when you get here and I will be happy to show you around.
Spring, Spring, Spring. YES!

Dee Dee, it's good to see the sun shining and the flowers in bloom here. The trees have been exceptional this year. I'm glad I stopped by, going to have to dig out the feeder for our humming bird friends. Glad the little guy took flight again, you are a good person!
