Plant a tree

Well-placed trees and shrubs can reduce cooling costs in the summer not to mention the enjoyment from the plants themselves and the increased value of your home. Be certain to locate shading vegetation where it will least likely block sun when it is needed in the winter months. Your local nursery or master gardener can help select the best plants and locations. Don't forget to look at soil types as well to insure that proper growth is obtained.
