My association with the Women's Council of REALTORS has helped me grow as a leader and as a Real Estate Professional through the many networking and educational opportunities. However, it was not until recently that I discovered that there is much more to this organization ... it has heart.
I mean H-E-A-R-T!
One of our members, Pam Gesell, has a 17-year old son , Carl, who is fighting a very aggressive cancer: Non-Hodgkin's large cell lymphoma. The family is in need of assistance to help cover the mounting medical expenses for Carl's ongoing treatments. At a recent WCR Board meeting, it was decided to turn one of our monthly mixers into a fund raising event for Carl.
Roxane Martucci of Davidson Realty, Seymoine Schmidt of Colonial Bank, and our Chapter President, Amy Capo of Exit Realty are heading up the committee for the benifit. They have reached out not only to our local members, the real estate community but also to the St. Augustine community at large and have found dozens of professionals who want to help. It is heart warming to know that our organization can come together in support of one of our members and put together a fantastic event.
