I recently opened a Trulia account and I see that you can post your open house dates and times to the website.  Has anyone ever had a walk in that heard about your open house through Trulia?  Are there any other websites out there that offer similar options? The past few weeks have been slow for open houses so any tricks to get more traffic would be welcomed!!

That's a good deal!  I know I 've had some hits from my website because of my profile on Trulia, so people are going there on a regular basis.  That's good to know, thanks.

Diane and Bob,

Another way to get more traffic to your open houses is to have Showcase Your Space do the staging!  We send an invitation to the open house to the 1000 agents on our mailing list, and we provide refreshments.  Our clients often say that more agents turned up at the open house than usual.  We'd love to work with you!

I'm glad to see that Trulia is working for some people. I'll have to try it for my next open house.

Diane & Bob,

I am not sure if you are aware of a website called postlets.com where your listing is posted to several search engines and websites and I think the basic listings are free.

Try craigslist.org(if you have not already done so) and zillow.com

I know that some of my past clients used to check craigslist quite a bit to check for open houses but  make sure that you provide professional quality pictures/virtual tour or a link to pictures of the house. Otherwise, you will be wasting your time just by posting an ad. You could also post/distribute some flyers at the local events (farmers market, fairs etc) atleast a week prior to the open house.

Good Luck!
