American Airlines Now Charging For All Checked Bags.  A $15 each way charge on the first checked bag will become effective June 15, 2008 in an attempt to stem losses from the soaring cost of fuel.

Richard, and why not add it to the cost of the ticket as they always have? Soon, maybe we will see $15.00 per home tour an agent can charge the buyers. Grin.

That's just awful. I suggest they look somewehre else within thier company to cut costs. The only thing I will be checking with in regards to AA is the price of their competitors, to avoid using their already declining services.
